Houndmouth was great for what we saw of them, earning the event two stars. The over-selling of the venue made it uncomfortable to stand, even on the room's periphery. This situation created a dangerous environment where exits were blocked and escape routes were congested with attendees. My wife, a devoted Houndmouth fan, felt deeply disappointed by the venue's conditions. Despite having attended similar acts in the past, we found this event to be excessively crowded. We departed prematurely, an uncommon occurrence for us, as we concluded that returning to the hall from the lobby, where we sought refuge from the chaos, would not be worth the effort of pushing through the entrance to find a cramped spot against the back wall. HMAC is not a place we plan on revisiting.
